About t@p

theology@thepub (t@p) was started in 2008 by a group of young adults inspired by a similar event in Sydney. We reckon Jesus and the Catholic Church is about as good as it gets but most other young people don't so we thought t@p might help with that. Each month t@p hosts a guest speaker who speaks on some interesting and important topic from a Catholic perspective.

The typical format of t@p is that the evening starts at 6.30pm when people arrive at the pub for a drink, a meal and a chat. This is a great opportunity to meet other young adults who share your interests. The talk begins at 7.30 and usually goes for 30-40 minutes after which the floor is open to questions to the speaker.

t@p generally runs on the first Monday of each month in the function room of the Pumphouse Hotel (128 Nicholson St, Fitzroy), however there are exceptions so always check this website or be on our email list to confirm the details for a given month.
